Cathie Devitt
Cathie Devitt is a writer from Glasgow and despite the rain still choses to live in Scotland.
Cathie’s current book is the 2nd in the trilogy of novellas following the life of fictional character Bernice O’Hanlon, a contemporary witch looking for answers to many questions about her past. Cathie describes the trilogy as “tapas for the brain”, the books can be enjoyed individually, in sequence, or together and readers will be reaching for more with every bite.
Cathie’s writing success includes publication of short stories and poetry in anthologies and magazines, Creative Writing awards, and theatre success in particular with the play "Mammy" which Cathie wrote for Magner's International Comedy Festival in 2011. Following five star success the play toured the UK and attracted sell-out audiences at Edinburgh Festival and Henley Festival.
Cathie studied creative writing with Open College of the Arts, Strathclyde University and by being active within the writing community. Her writing style draws on her unique sense of humour and fantastic observational skills. She is dynamic and energetic which shows in the fast pace of her writing. Twists and turns make this trilogy an intriguing read.
Following the success of “Don’t Drink & Fly!” Cathie is delighted to offer Part Two in the trilogy. Bernice turns to Tarot to unlock the memories that have haunted her all of her adult life.
