Robert Southam
I graduated from Oxford a while ago, taught English literature at university for a time but felt too young for a secluded life, trained as an actor and have since worked for many of England's principal companies. I have also acted and directed for my own company, which tours plays all over Europe and has a reputation for the quality of its work. Two of my short films, made from my own scripts, have won international prizes. I now spend most of my time writing. I am currently working on a novel set partly in both apartheid and post-apartheid South Africa. When work is done, I relish friendship, music, long walks in fine scenery and good food and wine.
